Teaching Climate Change to Activate Student Agency

Young Engineers & Scientists (YES) Program
Explore this no-cost PK-12 elementary level program that seeks to build capacity and S&E identity among young scholars. This program is a collaboration among scientists and engineers from UCI, informal educators from local nonprofits, and experienced teacher leaders.
The S.T.E.A.M. PK-5 Books Collaborative
Join an upcoming S.T.E.A.M. program to access culturally relevant and engaging books with layered activities for elementary school students! This no-cost program is for PK-5 teachers and features a variety of book titles with complementary activities throughout the year.
Engineering Classroom Ambassadors
This program develops teacher capacity to apply the NGSS science and engineering practices by working with a UCI engineering classroom ambassador who can co-construct authentic engineering experiences and develop students’ engineering habits of mind.
